Trainings

Despite the presence of Peer Assistance Monitoring Programs, these programs are severely underutilized. The PHP Online Training is a new, free, online course available to hospital systems, academic institutions, physicians, physician assistants, medical students and trainees designed to educate learners on the function of the PHP, “safe haven” laws, and how to differentiate between symptoms of illness and impairment.

PHP Online Training

This asynchronous training includes 8 educational modules, each comprised of a brief informational video immediately followed by a corresponding scenario to test the learner’s knowledge. These modules pair expertise from physicians and other health care professionals in recovery with advice from industry experts to inform the learner on best practices in the workplace.

Learners must establish a PAMED website account—you do not have to be a PAMED member to create an account. Instructions on how to create an account are provided here.
