Addictions Conference: The conference which qualifies for up to 14 AMA PRA Category 1 credits, brings together PHP committee members, volunteers, and participants to share information about professional impairment and treatment for chemical dependency.
Peer Counseling Workshops: The PHP sponsors "peer counseling" workshops to educate physician volunteers about monitoring roles, relapse prevention strategies, and intervention skills.
Educational Programs and Materials: PHP staff is available to give presentations upon request to medical students, residents, medical staffs or hospital administrations, county medical societies, and others interested in learning more about impairment issues. Staff will tailor a presentation to address an organization's issues. Some areas of concern might include:
