For more than 50 years, The Foundation of the Pennsylvania Medical Society has proudly served as the 501(c)(3) philanthropic affiliate of the Pennsylvania Medical Society. Foundation contributors can fulfill their charitable interests in the medical community by contributing to three core programs.

Mission
The Foundation of the Pennsylvania Medical Society sustains the future of medicine in Pennsylvania by providing programs that support medical education, physician health, and excellence in practice.

Core Programs:

Physicians' Health Programs (PHP)
Provides advocacy, information, and monitored recovery services to physicians and dentists struggling with chemical, psychiatric, or physical impairments. Offers education to health care professionals about addiction and other impairing conditions.

Student Financial Services
Provides loans to medical students who are residents of Pennsylvania and attend U.S. medical schools. Administers scholarships for organizations and individuals who wish to support medical student education.

Philanthropy Program
Supports all Foundation initiatives by working with physicians and others to help them achieve their charitable goals to benefit Pennsylvania's medical community.
