The Foundation extends a warm “thank you” to all individuals, hospitals, and organizations who contributed in 2010 to support Foundation programs. Gifts for the year totaled $724,805, which represented a slight decrease over the prior year. Of that amount, $265,933 was attributed to grants, sponsorships, and PHP Endowment gifts.

House of Delegates
The Foundation was pleased to participate in the Pennsylvania Medical Society’s House of Delegates meeting held October 22-25 in Hershey. Thanks to our generous donors, the Foundation experienced a very successful opportunity to acknowledge and honor the work of the Pennsylvania Medical Society’s outgoing president, James A. Goodyear, MD.
During the proceedings of the House, Raymond Truex Jr., MD, FACS, Foundation board chair, spoke about our services and thanked Dr. Goodyear for his efforts to support medical student education and physician health during his year as president of the Society.
Foundation trustees and staff sincerely appreciate the gifts that our physician philanthropists, the members of the Medical Society, gave throughout the long weekend in honor of Dr. Goodyear.

These are individuals who exhibit high levels of philanthropy by making planned gifts to ensure the future of Foundation programs.
